In mid-July a new addition to the cosmetic drugs called Dysport entered the market. According to Dr. Bruce L. Newman, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who performs various Cosmetic procedures in the Phoenix area, Dysport can be less expensive than Botox, covers a greater diffusion area, and has a quicker onset. This drug was developed in Europe but is now distributed through a Scottsdale based company called Medicis and requires the doctor that administrates it to dilute it and inject it in slightly different ways than Botox. The results have been found to be as effective as the well known Botox. Newman Eye Center is now offering this cosmetic alternative.
