Bruce Newman MD appeared on the KFNX 1100 AM radio show today at 4:30 to 5:00. He reviewed some of the latest Cataract surgical techniques discussed at the ASCRS meeting in Boston last weekend. The CK procedure was also discussed which is done at Newman Eye Center in minutes to correct patients that had laser surgery several years ago and now have trouble seeing close. Dry Eyes were also discussed and Dr. Newman learned from last weeks meeting that there’s diagnostic exams that can be performed to measure the severity of a dry eye problem. Pterygiums and the latest treatments available for this problem was discussed. Dr. Newman also discussed the newest Lasik procedure utilizing equipment developed by Zeiss which was on display at the ASCRS meeting.
