Financing

Capital One Healthcare Finance is available for all procedures performed by ophthalmologists ranging from $995 - $10,000.  For more information please visit the Capital One Healthcare Finance website.

Your payments will not change with the low, fixed interest rates that range from 9.99% to 12.99%. Payments can be made over as long as 60 months. And there's no prepayment penalty, so you can make lump sum prepayments at any time.

The application process is fast and confidential 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can apply using their secure online form, or you can call toll-free at 877-837-2272 . There are no application fees or forms to complete, and you can be approved in minutes. Good credit standing is required.

Cancellations

If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice.  This courtesy, on your part, will make it possible to give your appointment to another patient.

For those who do not give advance notice, there is a $20 fee that will be charged.

Medicare

Dr. Newman accepts medicare assignment.  This means that Medicare agrees to pay us 80% of what they "allow".  The remaining 20% will be either paid by you or by your secondary insurance.  Medicare deductible is your responsibility.  Refraction for glasses is not covered by Medicare.

Feel free to call Debbie with any questions or problems you may have with your insurance.

Payment & Insurance Policies

Payment is expected at the time service is rendered.  If you have Medicare, or an insurance company (HMO/PPO) that we process, deductible and/or co-payment will be expected before you leave our office.  HMO patients are required to have the proper referral forms prior to being seen.  You can pay by cash, with a check, ATM, or use a major credit card.

Most charges can be submitted to your insurance company.  However, we are only able to directly submit insurance claims to a limited number of companies for office visits.  Keep the office routing slip and attach a copy to your insurance claim form and submit directly to your insurance company. Routine eye exams for glasses or contacts are not always covered.
