As you know, I am a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the Naval Reserve. I am assigned to a Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, as the Headquarters Company Commander. My duties as the Headquarters Company Commander are managing interior security and mortars for the battalion.  Also, I am a Water Resources Engineer in my civilian life. Because of the variety tasks in both jobs, my vision has a very important role in me being able to function in both career settings.

The LASIK procedure has made my life easier.  For the first time since being a teenager, I no longer have to worry about my eyeglasses or contacts.  The LASIK procedure has corrected my vision better than 20/20.  I can now be on a construction site without worrying about my contacts or my glasses from dirty and dusty, see a pistol target clearly, or function daily and into the night without my eyes getting tired before I do.
